The Ruppgaurd Series for safe pumping of aggressive, unpredictable, hazardous or toxic liquids features spill prevention chambers and additional diaphragms. If a pumping diaphragm fails, accidental spills are contained in the spill chamber. This prevents pumpage from entering the air valve, thus protecting plant environment, personnel and the pump itself. In many cases, spill prevention allows the pump to complete the batch or operation in progress, before repair has to be done.
Spill chambers offered in aluminum, cast iron and stainless steel. Monitored leak detection available in mechanical, visual or electronic devices alert the pump user to a pumping diaphragm failure.

Containment Duty Non-Metallic Pumps are ideal for highly corrosive and hazardous chemical fluid requirements. All CD duty pumps are exclusively designed with:
- Containment chambers
- Hydraulically balanced/coupled pumping diaphragm and driver diaphragm assemblies
- Designed to accommodate visual, mechanical and low voltage leak detection devices
- Constructed of Aluminum, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, Alloy C
- Constructed of Polypropylene and PVDF with TPE (thermal plastic elastomers)
- PTFE options in diaphragms and check valves
Additional features and benefits:
- Safe pumping of aggressive, unpredictable, hazardous or toxic liquids
- Chambers keep accidental spills from entering the air valve
- Allows the pump to complete the operation in progress before repair has to be done
- Pumping diaphragms are balanced on suction and discharge stroke
- Evenly distributed pressure over the surface of the diaphragm gives longer flex life
- Save money and downtime - protects air valve parts from contamination
- Longer flex life of the diaphragm means leff frequent routine servicing
- Solids range +1/4" (6mm) to 3/4" (18mm)
- Dry primes up to 18 feet of water
- Free standing support base
